Last Saturday, several staff and Board member, Scott Witten, accompanied Ms. Whitaker to celebrate NC State Representative, Garland E. Pierce, for his “Decade of Service” in the General Assembly at the St. John Educational Building at the Highlands in Laurinburg. The celebration included good food, entertainment, and fellowship with those in the community.
In addition, Representative Pierce took the opportunity to honor several community agencies and individuals for their commitment to community service. Southeastern was one of those honorees!!! “Groups like Southeastern do so much to make life better for our communities. I thought it was important that we honored their service and work,” said Pierce. Ms. Whitaker, along with some of the Executive team, accepted the honor award on behalf of the agency.
